Justice For Alfred Wright
Bio: Alfred Wright was a 28 year old black man from Jasper, TX. Alfred lived in Jasper with his beautiful wife Lauren. Alfred & Lauren have two young sons & Alfred has a third son from a previous relationship. In high school, Alfred was a star athlete & received a football scholarship to Mary-Hardin Baylor University. After leaving MHBU, Alfred worked hard at the University of Tennessee at Memphis & earned a degree in physical therapy, graduating Magna Cum Laude. This degree is what brought him back to his roots- Jasper, TX, where he gained employment as a home-health physical therapist. It was this job that brought Alfred to the outskirts of a small town in deep East Texas. After visiting his last patient of the day, Alfred was headed home. Just four miles outside of Hemphill, TX, Alfred's truck began to overheat. Alfred pulled into a small store, CL&M Grocery, Liquor & Packing, the only public place for miles. CL&M is surrounded by deep woods in every direction. Alfred spoke with his wife, Lauren, who he gave precide directions to his whereabouts. Lauren then called his parents, Rev. Douglas & Rosland Wright, to go retrieve Alfred. After speaking with her in-laws, Lauren called Alfred back to let him know they were on their way. Little did she know, this was the last time Lauren would hear her husband... & all she could hear was heavy breathing & what seemed to be distress. The events following this phone call are one that don't add up, are disturbing, & are an injustice to Alfred, the Wright Family, & every other American who believes in Justice.
